When I play bughouse games, if the other team has a low rated player the higher rated player will resign. It gets annoying.

You are rated 900

People who rank high are afraid of losing a lot of points

And it also adds a little +3 +2 to them

often a high rated player will. get +1-2 for a game against sub 1000 players

Chess.com doesn't always respect the rating range you specify, so even if you say you don't want any opponent more than, say 200 points lower, you will occasionally get opponents as much as 500 or 600 points lower. If you resign immediately, though, it seems you won't lose any rating points. If I were in charge of running the site it would be the opposite, but nobody asked me.

I've gotten some pairings that were +0 -16. Why play that?

I dunno. For fun? Doesn’t seem worth it at all.
