I think both Nh6 and Na6 can work. Playing d5 at some point transposes, but still...
Honestly, my opening theory for random weird openings is pretty dumb: just push the pawn on the same file: if they play d4, play d6; if they play Nf3 or Nc3, play f6 and c6 respectively. Kinda surprised how long that has gotten me...
