Lemme guess: Every piece is a rook? Sorry, but that's a "piece spam" variant. A "piece spam" variant can be identified by noting that a large majority of pieces of both sides serve no purpose other than being traded off. Every after removing the "piece spam", the game is still very tedious, as it's a forced draw by perfect play, and perfect play would be very easy to attain.

There was a variant which would fit the name called "Ultrarook", and also "Capture the king", you can find these in my archive.Just hyper 4PC with quick rook promotions, used as a rating farm

and this is basically piece spam. the first half of the game is just rooks trading hands with no progress being made, only for it to reach a drawish endgame.
