Hi, just wondering why the King in chess is not more powerful. I think it would help to game to add a simple correction to allow the King to have some muscle. There are a few ideas that I would like the chess community to discus.
The most basic would be to allow the King to make a second attack each turn. This would mean that getting close to the King becomes a bit dangerous and would make the King quite useful in an attacking position.
More complicated would be to only allow the second attack if the King is not in check or moves into check after the first attack.
Many variations could be discussed. I personally think that simpler is better and definatly think the King needs an upgrade.
Please think about this seriously and start the conversation.
