En passant is not possible if pawns only move one square. For en passant to happen, pawns must move *two* squares.
You may want to consider changing the name, as "Sandwich Chess", as far as i know, is already taken by an under-testing position.
Also, the queens in the middle make attack too easy. You may want to replace them. If this effect is intended, then go ahead with it, do what's best for you and make tweaks during testing.
This game would be very fun if it was Atomic.
