Schedule

I think we should develop a schedule to organize who's facing who like they do in the NFL. I think we should vote on it and then decide who's facing who on the schedule if it's a majority vote

Shouldn't we get the teams more established first?  Not every team in the NFL is represented yet and team Houston only has 3 members.

yes,we should get our teams more established and we need to send out our member invitations as admins to beef up our groups!as for all 32 teams being represented, dont think its gonna happen but this is definetly a work in progress.

I agree with Cowboysforthewin and Karl.  It´s too premature.  Work on sending those invites to people in the area of the team(city, state).  We can´t start the season having teams of only a couple.  Everyone you play with, talk to, have a group with that might be interested, etc. ask them if they are fans and don´t worry about if they favor another team.  Send their names to the appropriate team admin and if their isn´t a team yet established for them you can send me the name.  I have a growing list of members who are waiting for their favorite team to be created.  When the teams are established then we can get down to business.  Meanwhile, if you want send challenges to the other nfl teams and begin facing off in exhibition/preseason style.  Da Bears are currently up against the Cowboys in two team matches, the Chiefs in another, and the Steelers in a vote chess.  Those games start getting the momentum and banter going and will keep you interested in expanding your team.

I also agree with developing our groups first

Agreed on establishing teams first.  Maybe our schedule could coincide with the NFL schedule, with a "Super Bowl of Chess" at the same time as the NFL Super Bowl?

The Giants group only has one person: me.  How did you guys find more people to join?

You just invite random people to support your team who haven't supported any other team

Go to the search members area and choose the United States and click it.  Then go down the members and anybody that is from the area of your team send them an invite.  I usually copy and paste their username to a separate word document and then when you get a bunch(max 30 per day) paste them to the invite members option with a , between each one.  You would be surprised how many respond.  Usually when I send out 30 I get 3-6 members each time.

I also announce the other teams to them in the invite letter so that they see all the options the league has.  By doing this not only will my team grow but maybe yours.  The league won´t be fun without big teams.  Also check out the groups that may be from the team´s area.  For example, I sent invites to the members of Chicago groups, Iowa, and Sports groups.
