scotch gambit or goring gambit

Sort:
GUILLOTINE

I wanted to know if anyone plays the scotch gambit religiously and has any variation that aren't normally seen or researched on the net...i have a few ideas myself....I am primarily an unorthodox player who loves to play the unplayable...as everyone knows a GUILLOTINE is niether good or evil it just gets the job done...

Well I share your love of offbeat openings and defenses.  I play the 2. Qxd5 variation of the Scandinavian for cryin' out loud!

I don't play it in serious games though, just unrated.  Not brave enough to try a rated game yet.

Anyway, I don't play the Scotch.  I hardly play 1.e4 at all.  I'm a pretty consistent 1.d4 player, but sometimes I do play 1. e4 and the Bird (1. f4).

Anyway, thanks for reading, and sorry for wasting your time with this uninformative post.  Cool

I am currently LOVING the goring gambit, but im investigating the scotch. I personally despise 1...e5, and i have vowed to never play it. I ablsolutely DESPIZE the Ruy Lopez to its core!! However when black plays 1...e5 and i am playing with the white pieces i dont mind it one bit.

KG or Goring gambit are my only responses to 1...e5(for now at least). Here is my latest win with the Goring, quick and efficient. (14 moves to # against a 1875.  Although he blundered, it still shows you how dangerous it is.)

Here's a couple recent games of mine.

Here's a 2. Qxd5 Scandinavian, or the Mieses-Kotroc Variation of mine.

And here is a  Soller Gambit I played shortly thereafter.

By the way, does anyone know how you can put spaces in between the game windows and text?

I've never really liked 1. e4.  I prefer 1. d4.

StrategicusRex

Alright gambitking.  gg!

StrategicusRex

Now I know how to beat gambitking.  Play 1. d4 and keep things quiet!  Cool
