So this variantion is called Ulvestad. Is a unusual weapon against the fried liver attack. I used in a recent game. After 5. exd5, you will play b5. The best move for white is Bf1 but if white takes the pawn 6. Bxb5 ( as happened in my game), this is not good after 6. Qxd5 and you are attacking the g pawn. After 7. Bxc6+ (forced), you will play Qxc6 and the point of sacrificing the pawn is to open the diagonal and next you will play 8. Bb7. You may have 1 pawn less but you have a better development. I know my game has a lot of mistakes but I like this variation and that´s why i am showing you.
