Sign Up For The Burial Chess Tournament!

This is a chess variant tournament that I have created, using a variant I have also created. It is a knockout tournament with three rounds, and we need seven players excluding me. The variant's name is Burial Chess. The tournament will be hosted via 3-day daily chess. Here are the rules:

1. Standard rules of chess apply, except for the en passant glitch. You will be banned if you exploit the en passant glitch.

2. Win a game by checkmating the king or capturing all your opponent's pieces. (or timeout/resignation, I guess)

3. Your first tournament game will just be normal chess. However, for the second game, we will only take the pieces left alive from the first game, i.e. those not captured. 

4. For the second and third tournament games, you will need to choose where your remaining pieces are placed on the first and second ranks. Of course, pawns can only be on the second rank, but you can put a queen on b2. Both players need to seal the piece locations before the game.

thats so unfair if someone's opponent times out on the first move they will have a huge advantage in the next round

Interesting idea, you should work on it.

There’s a variant called Double Chess, maybe we could use a board like that in round 2 then triple chess in round 3, etc. It would work for larger tournaments too. 

But I feel like having four queens and eight rooks on the board by move three will make the game insane. As opposed to double chess, which is designed to have two armies each.

you can turn off en passant in custom game rules
