You can disable messages (in setting menu), so only your friends can send messages to you
Sneaky invites
The only trouble with that is that i am SA of Team United Kingdom so its essential that other SAs and admins of other opposing teams can get in touch
Every time you see one of these just remind whoever sent it to you that doing so is against the terms of service
https://www.chess.com/agreement #2 on "Member conduct"
You can give a warning to them do not send invites again. If they still do that. You can report to chess.com or block them. The better way you must give a warning or talk with them. If you want still get in touch.
Now i dont know about you guys, bit i am getting fed up of getting invites to clubs via PMs, i have my invite disabled but the little devils get round this by sending me invites by PM, surely this can be stopped
I agree that it is annoying.
However, we can always use Settings to avoid so.
- We can Block those who frequently send such invites.
- We can stop receiving PMs except for Friends.
- We can immediately Report such cases to the Site.
I've seen, recently, some Muted [for some period] accounts, maybe for this reason or something else.
I'd like to use this thread to suggest to the Staff that it won't be bad or hurtful to the users, I think; if the reason for muting is displayed [during their mute period] on their Profile Page. Simply, this would help and educate, them and other members, directly or indirectly, that what is wrong according to the Site's policies. ...Just a thought.
yes, I have known 2-3 people who got muted for a few days for posting too many invites on people's note page, which is considered spam for some reason
You can always block such people if you like.
Or you can report them to support and they can check to see if that person is spamming and take some action against them.
Report it. Occasionally I find people I'd like to invite, but since they have invites off I just move on. I find it rude when I receive invites over PM also.

@jdcannon Thanks for the suggestion.
@superdrewe53 I have also been receiving quite a few messages from random members asking me to join clubs. I rather focus more time on a few clubs, rather than less time on a whole bunch of clubs. If you join too many clubs, it could easily take time away from more important clubs.
