If they were cheating and consistently beating you I think you deserve points after their account gets closed
Some called for cheating, or time ran out !!!
I see your point, but that means I will be facing higher rated players more often, and it's not enjoyable to play a game against a player and never once see one good opportunity for counter play! It;s like waiting to be squashed like a unfortunate spider racing across the floor and a human foot is about to come down on the poor guy!! ![]()
You are not at fault for the game mechanics unless it was intentional.
You posting the concen is all you can do.

agreed. I can imagine some players getting a higher rating by doing this:
1. keep playing in arena kings
2. once his/her rating has dropped significantly, get back to their normal rating playing regular live chess
3. get all the rating from the cheaters, and have a higher rating now!

Yeah
You make a good point, and it really shows what a fair, genuine player you are. But I think when a person cheats or times out, you deserve the points.
For example, in an OTB tournament, if your opponent flags, you get the point. I guess chess.com used the same rules here.
As for cheats, you played a good game and lasted despite them using an engine. I think you deserve points for that. For sustaining and playing on. The end result could have been a win for you because of a mouse slip or something, you never know.
You mentioned how you could get your rating down to where you think it should be, but I think you deserve the rating you have. You played well and could've won eventually, so it's only fair that you get the points for that. However, if you genuinely believe that your current rating isn't your actual strength, it would go down anyway, wouldn't it? I wish you all the best for your games ![]()
Also, I didn't mention this. Thank you for your service ![]()
after you have accumulated hundreds of games those small bumps are meaningless. You really don't have an accurate rating. no one does. because we all play different people with different ratings. So all ratings are is a rough guide. please do not put much stock in it.

What a good description!
I was just looking how my rating jumped up because some one lost both games to me with a higher rating. Some may feel that's great, but I know what I am, and not as high a rating that I gained for free!!
So I think maybe one should not get free-bees if some one's clock runs out or they are found to be cheating?? So what do I do now let my clock run out or purposely, lose to some one to get my ratings down to where they really should be??
This is just food for thought, not meaning to sound like I am complaining!! I love it here!!!!! Years ago in the military, I found a chess partner rating about 1850+, and we played at a regular time once a week and I got destroyed every time, I felt at the time, It was a learning experience, but In fact it did not improve my game at all, and it even made me think maybe chess is not for me?? I was 1550 at the time!
