Yeh, but they’re some people who either don’t like to participate in tournaments, or would rather show off a big achievement; I’d be more proud of playing 10000 live games or getting a score of 50 on puzzle rush rather than winning a tournament. I get what ur saying, but there r also people like me and do what I just mentioned.

Okay so here's the thing: Achievements are milestones towards being a better player. Just because you finally scored a 10 or a 20 or a 30 or a 50 on a puzzle rush score just shows you have improved in tactics. When you go to the profile page, on the right you see their stats (including peaks) followed by a trophy showcase. Why would people want to look at your stats and see achievements which are redundancies of the same thing? Yes there are some things that you can't see on the stats like how many articles a person has read, but most people aren't going to care or want to see the same achievements over and over or the same stats that correspond to achievements. If I went to a profile and saw their high was a 37 on a puzzle rush, I don't want to see an achievement that says they got 30 on a puzzle rush. Do you see my point? I get that not everyone is able to win a tournament let alone get one, and maybe thats something chess.com can discuss in the future (a U1000, U1500 and Open if this doesn't already exist) but tournament trophies are a testament to player's consistency and ability to clutch out a tournament. I used to be rated 1200 on chess.com and was envious of players who had trophies... but I set out to make one of them mine, and I did.
