Suggestion: Bot varients

Currently you only can play standard chess with bots but what if you can play the bots in other varients? like 3 check blitz bullet crazyhouse etc like lichess

U can select time control under custom mode

You can even play chess960 aka Freestyle chess

The one thing I like about the Lichess bots (or some of them) is that they are rated on actual performance against players and you can play rated games against them as well (with reduced elo gain/loss). I think that would be good idea for chess.com as well.

The bots are all Komodo based and it does not support any variants other than 960

That used to be an option but it was removed. Members farmed rating against bots .

I have previously suggested a bot specific rating but when I did there didn't appear to be much support for that

You can on Lichess at least on some rated bots, which essentially have dynamic rating based on how they fare against human players.

How does that farming technically happen if the rating is dynamic and based on the performance against real human players?

I think, for the variant bots, Chess.Com's bots can use "Fairy Stockfish (version 11)" in the variant games/settings .

Yeah it is pretty good idea.

The license may preclude that as an option.
