About the pointers for positional play improvement- I will guide you towards it through our discussion, like the others we had so far here.
Sun 777,
Pointers for a better positional play- you can see them in my first article, which I believe you have already read.
In one word- the secret is developing your evaluation skills of positions. I believe, and teach my students based on this, that this is the basis to all of chess.
About the game- ok, so he blundered.. I don't think you can study anything significant from it.
I agree with Tykartaltepe, that Bb7 is aweful, and if you used what you learned reading the article you would'nt have played it. we only play moves the position requires us to play, and what does it require us to play? our evaluation of the position answeres this. how to evaluate- link to article above :-) there you go, all it takes to be a GM!
Of course, you still need tons of guidence and practice to learn how to implement the evaluation tools. That's what keeps me busy as a coach
(though sadly my boss at my day job keeps me even busier...)

Ok, so anyway, this is my game against a 1449, I'm a 1237:
Any thoughts, suggestions, ideas?
BTW, here's the opening:
