Super Admin - Appointment

This forum is to discuss appointment of Super Admin. I have discussed it with chess.com staff and base the solution on their recommendations. My idea is to be Super Admin for the interim until we appoint a Super Admin from Uganda. Chess.com staff recommend that I post the following message:

Hi everyone, I’m Malan77 and I noticed we need a new SA in this club, I would like that job. Please let me know if you support me in the comments below. After 7 days, If I don’t have a challenger or if I have many votes, I will become your new SA with help of the staff of Chess.com Thank you!

Hi Mulan77, ideally this team is managers by a Ugandan. In the absence of one, or if no one steps up, I have no problem with anybody else taking up the role. I established the Ugandan Cranes as an alternative club, but best to activate team Uganda.

I nominate Cozywhulk as Super Admin - As soon as I become Super Admin I will shift the role over...

Am a Ugandan, what are the roles and responsibilities of a super Admin

Malan77

Hi. Oversee team. Additional might include to create some daily matches. Invite members and aim to keep team active.

The super admin has all the controls over the team. His / her task is to help the team to grow and compete, by attracting new members and organizing matches as Malan77 wrote.

It would be great to get this team active again KirekaChessChamp. YOu can invite other admins that can hel you to get active. We can have team matches within Team Ug, and with other teams.

I think it requires for the member to be active on chess.com on a very regular basis. It is not very time consuming as such, but the more you invest, the better it becomes. I don't expect you to become rich from it happy.png

In Team South Africa and Team Africa we have more than one Admin. I do a lot of member invites and enjoy to focus on big matches where I invite players.

Other Admins run ladders and Team Tournaments.

A lot of focus goes into growing the Team and keeping it active.

I find it very rewarding....

Kindly elaborate on the very rewarding Part Mr. Malan77.

Also Cozywhulk, Please explain the part of dont expect to become rich. Are there any financial benefits.

I started a Group on Lichess and because the Lichess app is light, we have tournaments every friday and Sunday and we have grown it to over 80 regular members.

The challenge most complained about Chess.com is the phone application is heavy and not user friendly. On my phone it seems fine but on others, not so much.

Chess is not rewarding financially.

By rewarding I mean gratifying seeing a team grow and doing well in matches.

Suggestion:

I will ask the staff to make me Super Admin.

Then I will make both

and

Super Admins....

Hi Malan77. This is fine, although I wish I could commit to being more active in managing the group. Not sure if anyone else likes to spearhead?
