I'm not sure...
Why do you need or want an alternate account?
What would you do with an alternate account?
How would you benefit from switching between the two accounts?

One benefit would be that it makes it easier to use the paid account to run analysis on games played on the alt-account.

Why do you play games on an alt-account? I'm not familiar with the reasoning behind this.
ignore Boone lmao
Awww... come-on @squid! I'm just trying to learn about alt-accounts. What's wrong with that?
Wouldn't it be cool to have the ability to switch between accounts on Chess.com if you have a verified alt account?
I assume you mean while you're logged into one you can click a button/link to log into another. I imagine that's something that won't be added.
That seems like a complicated feature to add. If you want to be able to easily switch between them, though, you can open up one account on your main browser, then open up your alt account on an anonymous tab, and then you can just paste links back and forth between the different windows and switch between the accounts easily.

I want to try some openings without those who know my name able to study the games. Some of my OTB opponents prepare.

Well, okay.
Chrome allows using two different profiles associated with different gmail addresses.
I assume (haven't checked) that you can log into chess.com with different accounts in different profiles.
(Chess.com has many, many feature requests. I would doubt that multi-login would be prioritised since the number of "two account" users is so much lower than the number of "one account" users.

It would be nice if you start your account in a school district but can change your account to another email so you can still have the same profile.
