I don't ever remember calling it ludicrous. Check back and I think you'll find I was referring to something else - most probably your knee-jerk tendency to jump directly from the (supposed) conclusion that the first lifeform was created by some conscious entity to the pages of the Old Testament?
As I keep trying to inform you, a creator of life would still be utterly mysterious and unknown to us and would not necessarily bear any resemblamce to the 'God' of the OT, or of any religion come to that.
