I agree. I just think there should be a message that says 'Position is not loaded' or something similar to avoid the impression that the tablebase feature is not working.

Agree it should say something to indicate what needs to be done to continue.

I've taken another look at it this morning and that is not how the opening tab works.
Selecting the opening tab without loading the position displays the opening information.
Doing the same with the tablebase doesn't
..and with the load...
The other issue with this is that once the position is loaded there is no way back to the analysis board setup making it difficult to change the board position slightly to answer questions like 'but if the king was one square to the left would it still be a win?'.
When you set up a position on the analysis board and then click on the tablebase tab nothing is shown until you go back to the analysis tab and click the 'Load' button.
This is a bit confusing from a usability standpoint as it looks like the feature is not working. The easiest fix would be a message to say why there were no results. The 'load' button duplicated on this tab would also be handy to save going back to the analysis tab.
