Don't sound right to me at all!
tbwp10 bio question

Well, our bodies do expel things, and we shed skin, so there is enough to make me wonder about it. If they can find DNA of people on so little, how great is the danger of becoming a spreader if you willing to receive a vaccination? If true, I'm sure it is minimal, or at least I hope so.

I was just told that when people get a shot for measles that they can shed measles and give it to others because they received the shot. I had never heard of this before and wonder if it is true.
Told by whom, anyone who's qualified in some way to know what they're talking about? Have you tried searching for information on the subject?
These are important questions and deserve answers T_M.

Yeah, that is why I'm asking.

O/k, let me try again ...
Who was it that told you this about 'shots' for measles?
Do you have any confidence in the source of this claim knowing what they're talking about?
Have you investigated the claim for yourself to evaluate whether it has any validity?

My wife and I asked a biologist, for crying out loud.

No need to get tetchy - if you'd explained that from the off we'd have been clearer about where this originated.
Of course that begs the question of where your wife heard it? Alex Jones by any chance?

The measles are, of course, highly contagious, and in some very rare cases there have been people who contracted the measles even after being vaccinated. Such people would then be able to pass on the measles. BUT the measles vaccine itself does NOT cause the measles, so short answer, no. (*the only possible exception I know of is the extremely rare case of immuno-compromised individuals who have displayed symptoms after taking the live attenuated ('weakened') virus strain version of the vaccine....which is why it's recommended that such individuals don't receive that vaccine)
But the way the OP is phrased is misleading: that someone can pass on the measles 'because they received the shot', when the more accurate way to say it is simply that 'someone with the measles can pass on the measles'.

No, what I was told was there was shedding the body does with something that can carry infection. I assume if we were only speaking of is it possible to contract something that would include every possible way it could be done. I was trying to be specific.
It's still unclear, but the bigger problem is the 'because they received the shot' part.
You should really add a source citation for the claim with more specifics.
