Team Matches when you are a member of both clubs

Hi,

This isn't necessarily Beta-related in particular but I was wondering: for Daily Club Matches, can players who are members of both clubs play in whichever team they want, or neither?

Thanks!

My experience is that if two teams are playing each other, members who are on both teams will not be able to play in that match.

It's up to the player.  It's not disloyal to join the other team if they are short of players or outranked.  It's polite to send a note explaining their reasoning to the opposing SA but not necessary.

But what he's asking is if you could be allowed to choose.

The answer is no, however there is a loophole. Simply leave the other team, join the team match, and then if you want to you can rejoin the other team and you won't get kicked

My suggestion to chess.com team is to allow a user to choose which side they want to play on without having to quit a team/club.  Once the user has chosen a side in a match, they are stuck with that team until the match ends.  It shouldn't affect other matches between the same 2 teams.

If you are a member of both clubs you don't get to play.

OK thanks!

Could that be changed? Or is there a problem why it's this way that I'm not aware of.
