The Chess Olympics - Updated Rules!

Below are the rules and regulations for the The Chess Olympics. It is imperative that these regulations be abided at all times. These requirements are also absolutely mandatory for all groups to meet. If your team surpasses or does not meet a certain requirement, please resolve the matter or register for next season. If your team fails to follow a specific rule, your group is automatically eliminated from the Olympics:

Requirements:

1. Your team is required to have a minimum of 100 members and five team matches completed OR a minimum of 50 members and ten team matches completed. Your group may not have more than 1000 members. Exceptions are made.

2. You ARE required to register your team in the registration forum.

3. You must provide Chess Olympic administrators with a minimum of 2 staff contacts for your group. This is to ensure that we have a firm connection to your team.

About The Chess Olympics:

1. Each group will be placed in one of the 3 sections. Your group will be placed in a section which is determined from your number of members, number of team match wins, and team match points.

2. These are the three sections -

Section A - Groups w/members less than 300, 750 team match points, or 15% team match win.

Section B - Groups w/members from 300-600, 2000+ team match points, or 20% team match win.

Section C - Groups w/members from 600-1000, 5500+ team match points, or 30% team match win.

You can ask us if you want us to let your group be in a section based on their member count, team match points, or team match percentage.

Rules and/or Regulations:

1. You are required to respect all group members at all times. Infractions of this rule will result in your team's automatic elimination.

2. You are required to abide by your assigned schedule. If you need to modify the schedule you are given, please inform an Olympic Administrator.

3. You must report to an administrator if your team surpasses a member limit. This is crucially significant. If this rule is exceeded, you will be eliminated from the competition.

4. If you do not provide the Olympics with two administrator contacts, you may not participate.

Thank you and may the best team win!
