The power of a "real", physical, chess board. Do you guys have one?

Oh I envy you, I don't have that kind of money lol.

Keep an eye on ebay, or whatever is similar in your area. I got mine for a great price from there! Couldn't afford one from new that's for sure!

I have a nice wooden board with plastic pieces, has been in my family since before I was born so idk where it came from but yeah

I have multiple boards, one that comes with a computer, but none that connect online. My favorite is a wooden set from India.

I wonder how to leave the room.
Oh no, the room is 48 time larger than the board lol

That's how much we love chess.

I have a portable set that I take outside with me and will play games when my neighbors and landlord pass by.

I had a magnetic, reversible Chess & Othello board as a kid with decent plastic pieces. It taught me to play the game, unfortunately I never stuck at it and only played the odd game in extremely brief sporadic bursts over the years.
Now I have a 12" cheap wooden board with wooden pieces, Amazon bought, and I absolutely love the look of it. I play through the occasional daily game and use it to go through puzzles in the tactics book I'm reading. The solid, but at the same time faint, thump of the pieces on the board can't be replicated on a computer.
I'd love a proper top end set though, I've always admired the aesthetics of the board set up in a room.

Nice story, I was gonna talk about that, sometimes you can grab a book and totally disconnect from the internet. It is a great thing to do.

Mine is old, cherry wood with metallic pieces. I can hardly wait when it fits my budget to upgrade it to a nicer set, as I've had this one for 14 years.
I love to put next to the computer and study some games and some positions. Sometimes taking it slow is the best thing you can do for your chess. What do you guys thing?
