Theistic Evolution -- Should Christians consider Evolutionary Creationism?

For proof, you can go back to the transitional fossil thread I created.

Over 400 transitional species found so far since the publication of On the Origin of Species. With more being found, several/year.

(Pretty lucky prediction for an incorrect theory, huh?)

This thread I created, because too many people incorrectly reject Evolution on emotional grounds, seeing it as being a threat to their faith.

This argument would be valid, if there was no evidence supporting Evolution.

But there is. So the "belief" argument falls apart, right there.

Transition fossils do not prove anything to me. It just means God made similarly animals that went extinct 

 God himself told us how the earth got here. So the evidence needs to contradict the Bible and transition fossils do not

What I just read in that sentence "God made species to make it  look like Darwin was right, when he was not."

Hundreds of species.

And then put their fossils  all in the correct spots in the geologic ladder, just give the Evolution Deniers a headache.

Actually, those fossils do not need to contradict the Bible. They only need to match On the Origin of Species.

There is nothing in Evolution that precludes a Creator.

But it doesn't say evolution didn't occur does it?

you should read Genesis 1. it will only take you like 5 minutes and then you can see what the Bible says and make up your mind on what it means. there are lots of opinions out there but when I read it it seems to say it was a 6 day creation. read it and decide for yourself. you seem smart and you do not need others to tell you what to think. you said the Bible is not to be douted so read genesis1 and you will have the truth.

I was taught creationism when I was growing up, and I also learned about natural history and anthropology around the same age. I continued my religious education all the way up to age 16, and I learned science in school. I do not take the six-day earth creation literally, and I never have. However, I think God played a role in the creation of the universe and nature of what it is today.

Fair enough.

Right now, all the evidence says He did it, about 13.8 billion years ago.

That book didn't even mention Darwin. Let alone state that he was wrong.

It totally contradicts Darwin. Next time you read Genesis pay more attention.
