OK; as soon as you're done with ours, let me know what you would like to see and we'll see what we can do.
Thematic requests
My request for a future thematics tournament would be the Sicilian Defense: Najdorf Variation; Poisoned Pawn Variation.
Two more good thematic touraments would be the Queen's Indian Defense and the King's Indian Defense. A good thematic team match would be the Grunfeld Defense against Bobby Fischer Group, against the Kasparov Team the Queen's Indian Defense and against the Jose Raul Capablanca Team the Queen,s Gambit Declined: Modern; Knight Defense.
Newest Red Army thematic, the Schliemann, is here:

Moves start 1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Bb5 f5.
There were no takers for the open tournament -- the chess.com thing for tournaments is crappy; I had to scroll through 13 pages to find mine. People would have had to look for it to find it. So, I'm doing closed thematics instead.
I have been thinking about this some more and the best way to get new members in is through us. I'll do my part to recruit, but you're our best salesman -- if you're having fun here and you want to share it with friends, you're much more effective than I would be talking to the same person. There is plenty of interest in the closed tournaments, so I think I will keep them up.
Right now, I'm taking requests for future thematics; if you have an opening that you would like to see played/discussed/worked on, then post it here. Or if you want to have another BDG or Latvian or Schliemann thematic, post it here as well.
