Do you like the idea of groups having their own theme (colour scheme)? I saw a few nice ones while I was going through the groups to contact and invite managers.

I like the idea of national groups having a theme based on their nations sporting colours.

When I chose this groups theme I picked one that is fairly popular and well associated with chess.com.

Should we have a unique group theme?

Perhaps something very managerial, like off-white with gray.  Something you might expect to see on a business card for Clarence Montgomery Tipton III.

^ That's what I was going to do with open discussion, until my mind cracked when I saw something I thought was attractive. YellLaughing

I think that groups with not a huge amount of forum activity can have any theme but  groups with alot of forum activity should stick to something like what silentfilmmaster said - light, and easy on the eyes.

In your groups menu there is the option "manage group" - click on this. Then you will come to a page where you will see the option - "click here to edit your group theme!" This will take you to a page that will display a list of already created themes. You can search these themes or click on the arrow next to "browse all themes" and it will bring up the option to search by user name.

Here's where you need to have something ready if you want to add your own theme. To do this - go to "my home" then "account" then "styles and themes". If you click next to "browse all themes"  you will get the option - "create theme".

Creating a theme takes a little while to get the hang of but once you work it out it's not very difficult.

I am willing to make themes for national group managers.

While there are quite a few choices, few of them are good for large groups (easy on the eyes).
