It's most likely AI based. You can't really expect it to perfectly explain all sorts of lines like a commentator. If it sees a hanging bishop it'll say something like you missed an opportunity to capture a free bishop and sometimes when the lines are deep and various, the explanation can be weird or inaccurate since it's explaining based on a set of rules
