Attacked it? I can't imagine why a cat would want to attack a chess board. My cat sometimes walks by and steps on the board and knocks over pieces by accident, so the magnets make it so they don't fall.
My cat just wants to play, you should have seen the napkin he shredded. We found pieces all over the house.
My cat is too old and lazy to wreck anything. She turned 13 yesterday.
