this is not chaturanga.. this is shantraj aka the oldest version of chess we currently know rn… chaturanga looks just like this but with dababas… so change the name i guess?

This has been discussed in some other places as well and there’s debate whether or not it’s a misnomer, but the two names are used interchangeably in the active player community iirc
would u try adring this historical chess variant?

It is indeed Shatranj and not Chaturanga. Nobody knows what the real rules of Chaturanga are.
Most top players call it Shatranj but if you say Chaturanga we'll know what you mean.
