I learned how to move the pieces when I was 13, but never actually played until 2 years ago when my son started playing at his school (he's 14 now). Him and I play often. We have a cheap but decent set and a really nice DGT clock. I'm a Chess junkie and I play it 24/7. I started with videos then just moved to online play. I've played a couple OTB games at a local Chess club but those guys are really good including the defending state champion! I prefer correspondence as it fits best in my day to day routine, but will play live as often as I can. I regret not getting involved in Chess sooner but I'm fascinated with the Game and have MUCH to learn and look forward to playing it for the rest of my life.
Thoughts on the Game of Chess

At first, i want to say that my english skills aren't the best, therefore i hope of comprehension, if something sounds strange.
I got my first experience with 8 or 9, an educator show me how to play this game in a after school care (Hort). After i leave the care with 10, i find never to play with me in my family or circle of friends. So i stoped for years until some mouth. Lillith and Ice show me this site and started again to play.
Some days i play good and some days bad, it's dependent of my mod.
But in all case its help me to get my head free
Please feel free to share any and all thoughts and experiences you have had with Chess. Do you play over the board? Belong to a club? Do your family and friends play?
