I think that chesscom should have titles like ACM, AFM, AIM and AGM linked to the accounts FIDE profile (if the account does not have a FIDE profile, let it be) as it is case with CMs, FMs, IMs and GMs (not to mention that I am an ACM).

It's been suggested before and is highly unlikely to happen.

Why? Is it because it's hard to verify?

I think that the ACM title awarded by FIDE is given if you can achieve a 1200 rating over a span of 100 games AND pay for FIDE dues. It seems a desperate attempt to raise money for FIDE rather than to award proficiency in chess.
