Torch engine available for Beta members

Torch, the highly-ranked chess engine created by Chess.com, is now available for use by beta members. Open your engine settings and select Torch from the drop-down list. You have access to two versions of Torch: a full (40MB) version with our current best neural network, and a lite (4MB) version with a much faster miniature network.

It's just a smaller version of the trained net file compared to the other version.

Is torch better than stockfish? Levy made a video about torch beating a bunch of other engines but I didn't see the match against stockfish.

Stockfish is stronger at this point.

How does torch evaluate positions differently than Stockfish? Is it designed to play other computers or developed for assisting human development? Is there an advantage for a person to review with torch vs stockfish or does it help torch's learning by feeding it our games?

When I try Stockfish 40 MB, the analysis doesn't load for me even after a long time.

I am trying, but to put it simply, the engine Stockfish 16 has broken on my end probably due to some storage on my computer files.

Meanwhile, going on to Torch, it loads extremely fast, but I still want to use Stockfish.

Any ideas on how to make Stockfish 16 work? It just worked now, for the first time, but I fear it will stop working again.

As a beta member, torch is not available for some reason

I'm still seeing all the options on an Analysis board and Play. What client are you on?

I can't reproduce your issue even when I use a basic account

I go to game review, and torch does not appear.

Go to chess.com/analysis, not Game Review. Then it should be in your settings menu
