Just a quick note: im not asking for ideas. these are tricks im adding to my kotl.
Tricks
Fire rod: the rod fires either a beam of fire, or a fire blast. each attack from it will take time to recharge. also comes in thunder, ice and psychic.
transform: become any npc for 5 actions. 4 uses.
healing croissant: yes, the rival of bagels is a trick. eat this, and get healed.
demon arm: when you do a attack with your hand and it lands, you will deal fire damage. you can also spawn a fire tornado around a player. wears off for 15 turns.
lens of truth: allows you to spot any attack. 1 use, wears off for 10 turns.
bomb rush: throw a bunch of different bombs everywhere. lasts for 5 turns when used, and after each use, takes 10 actions to use again.
Ghosted: pop your soul out of your body, and be invulnerable to any attack. This can be used to steal other's items, but if your body gets hit or killed, the trick ends. 1 use.
Zoom: summon air around you, that then sends you flying in the air, as a way of quick travel to each area or sector. can be attacked 1 action before the lift.
Out of the blue: select a player, then a blue bucket of paint will spawn by them, then you will climb out of it. sort of like a warp. if the bucket is kicked over or destroyed, the trick will fail.
Second life: if you die, you will respawn, but take more damage.
Golden thief: allows you to steal up to 300 coins, but you can't steal from the same person more than once. 3 uses.
Lucky day: for 1 hour, all attacks that are towards you miss, but you can't attack either. 1 use
Double cloak: wearing the cloak makes a double that cat take a lot of hits, and can also dodge and attack, but you can not control it. When the clone dies, it takes 10 min. to recharge. The cloak also serves as a mini shield, but can be stolen from golden thief.
Sneaky shovel: this shovel allows you to dig quickly to foes, and attacks when you burrow up. Counters lucky day and shields.
Sleep aura: a aura that makes everyone around you go to a deep deep sleep. Makes you more drowsy the more it is spammed.
Warp: warp anywhere on the map. 10 uses. Can not be spammed.
shadow sneak: warp to a shadow and stay in that shadow. cant be seen while in the shadows, except if the user has the lens of truth. has 3 uses, and can not be spammed.
Crit hitter: this trick has one use, and never wears off. it allows you to always land a critical hit when you strike someone.
Tank body: for 10 actions, you tank every hit besides stabs. 2 uses.
animal ray: a device that when you fire at a foe, they will become a animal of choice and be unable to do anything. 5 uses
Sword shooter: based on a terraria weapon, A sword that shoots 1 more sword out of it, in the directoin you swung the sword. can only throw 10 swords, one at a time (suggested by @Extreme_Dragon)
Jello clone: this trick is kinda hard to master. summon a clone made out of blue jello. the clone will be your ally until destroyed. the clone can be controlled, but you must take turns on which you control(example: Link has the trick Jello clone. he wants to control the clone to attack mario. but, he wont be able to control himself, only the clone, until he stops controlling the clone.) the clone is also weak against water. the clone can also absorb a weapon, and a part of its body will become that weapon. cannot be eaten. never wears off, infinite uses, but if destroyed, takes 15 actions to use again.
Magic Hat: A random item/trick pops up in this hat. 3 uses. (suggested by @rickzhang1977)
Spare: Put someone in a state where they die in one hit, but they become invincible for 2 actions and can't attack for 3 actions
Force of nature: Summon a bomb of wind and sharp grass from the power of nature. Insanely strong if you are in a forest. Goes through walls, and can't destroy anything.
Force of fire: Summon a bomb of red-hot lava. stronger if you are in hot places or hot yourself. 2 uses. melts anything it hits.
Force of ice: Summon a bomb of ice. Stronger in cold areas or cold yourself. 3 uses. Freezes everything it hits.
Befriend: A pendulum that when used on a npc, it will become your ally, until killed. The stronger the npc, the easier they can resist. Can only befriend 3 npcs, and only 3 uses.
