Hello,

I just wanted to ask whether the U1450 rating corresponds to only your Chess.com rating, or if let’s say for example my Chess.com rating is 800, but my US chess rating is 1500, then would I still be able to join the U1450, or would I need to go into the open?

I know it would ALLOW me into the U1450, but I don’t know if YOU guys allow it.

That is a very good question, one I did not think to ask myself but need to know.

I might be wrong, but the uscf open tournament will not allow you to join unless you have a rating higher than 1450.

I think it’s your chess.com rating that matters but I might be wrong

The events here use your Chess.com ratings.

Thanks for clearing that up, I was wondering about it.

Hi Pascal,

I play in the uscf open tournament though my rating is less than 1450.

I think You can play in the open with any rating

Open is any rating. That's why it's called open.

The U in U1450 stands for Under and means anyone with a rating LESS than 1450. As the Moderator said, It uses your chess.com rating when you play on chess.com. They use your OTB rating when you play Over the Board.
