Unneeded forums in official Chess.com clubs
They should just restrict non administrative members from creating forums. I don't know why they haven't done it, yet - it's not that difficult.
But there still are many topics that have more depth to them and at least in my opinion deserve a dedicated forum.
Best is to discuss it within the appropriate club with the club admins.
Took me a full 10 minutes thinking whether to post here or in Club Admins... Since my feedback directly pertains to official Chess.com clubs, I took a guess and put it here. Thanks for letting me know though, I'll put it up on Club Admins later.
As many of you know, in quite a few Chess.com official run clubs, like Cheating Forum and Variants, have many issues regarding constant forums with lack of detail. Officially, they are supposed to post it in dedicated pinned forums (ie: variant ideas have a special "workshop" forum in the Custom Variants club), but very few follow that standard anymore. I for one am not a fan of the constant forum spam, but what can we do about it right now? Even if we try to tell people to use the dedicated forums for their issue, even more forums pop up every day. For me, there's one reason why: people don't use the dedicated forums in the first place.
This is why I think Chess.com needs to introduce new forum features, aimed at their official clubs. I don't really have much of an idea, but I am sure you guys do. How can we make it more appealing for users to post in the dedicated forums instead of making new ones?
