WoF Runway's gameplay heavily depends on the promotion to a Transparent Brick

Is it possible to somehow win a game with a petrified Royal?

I don't think so, because the royal needs to be dead to be a brick.

Unless there's some sort of PGN hack that allows you to cheat death.

Try again!

wdym try again?
I didn't try. I just put together the fact that a royal needs 0 lives to be a petrified brick, and if you have 0 lives on your turn, you automatically lose.

Or, wait, can you do negative lives, or set the lives to "Null"?

Depends. If there is a way to stalemate without making a draw (giveaway/stalemate loss/win) then it is possible. If not, then winning by time is the only way.

If you edit lives to zero the N-check automatically turns off and royals become check-sensitive

Which part should I put Runway in of promotion just confused because I tested with futer and didn't get an answer

Add a new section for stalemate=win, where promoting to a brick helps you to achieve that

In Sergeant Dodo, two Non-Royal Transparent Bricks (yx on a14 and rx on n1) serve as a crucial part of the game, as they prevent the player from being checkmated after losing all Sergeants (checkmate by capturing the last piece on the board)

The very first game without those coloured bricks

Quick tip: don't ask for it to be added to the directory if you want it to be added to the directory

Ducks and immune zombies are also considered types of bricks
Bricks can only be destroyed in Atomic mode:

  • An immune zombie captures and self-explodes
  • A pawn captures, promotes to a brick, transparent brick, or duck, and then self-explodes

In Atomic, the promoted royal king explodes and can't claim the hill, however in Atomic+Fatal, it becomes a petrified brick instead and does claim the hill

I thought that if they behave like pawns in Atomic, they shouldn't die in Fatal (without Atomic) as well
