Untitled Tuesday time control

For admin of this club.

Would you please reconsider the time control for the Untitled Tuesday?

3+1 really tough to do when you have a poor internet connection. Practically I played without increment. In my opinion 3+2 or 3+0 is the better option.

Thanks.

ChessLebaneseSalah

its to imitate the real titled tuesday, also how would 3+0 be better if you have bad internet?

With 3+0 at least my opponent do not have an increment too.

winyou01

3+2.

The whole point is to mirror the Titled Tuesday format where the time control is 3/1.

If the point is to prevent flagging, we can use 3+2.

titled tuesday

ChessLebaneseSalah

yes 3+1 or riot

3|1 is a rough time control! I played *much* better when my tired old brain had that extra second.

The internet connection issue is outside of our control. I’ve been having huge issues with connections on this site too.

But I don’t see us changing the time control fir UTT.

BigThighsMan

3/2 is better in my opinion.

I always get into time trouble and 1 second per move isn't enough time for me to back it up

i would like 5/2

3+1 actually mixes it up, 3+0 and 3+2 are generic time controls

3/1 is too random imo, 3/2 and 3/0 are the defaults. But the point of UTT is to mirror the Titled Tuesday format and TT is 3/1.
