v3 Live - Clock starts instantly?

In v3 Live, when I start a game, my clock starts automatically. See the time stamps in a game below:

My opponent using v2 does not lose time during their first move (unless they take a long time, then it starts counting down after a couple of seconds). I have lost at least half a dozen games because of this, and I am wondering why using v3 is giving players a disadvantage because of this (especially in bullet)?

I think it makes a difference whether it's a tournament game or not. Tournament games start instantly.

Personally, I don't have a problem with the clocks starting as soon as the game is accepted by both players.

Tournament games wait 10 seconds until the game actually starts, so you have time to see if you are white or black, and then get ready to make your first move (like you would in an actual OTB tournament).

In normal seeks, you don't have that, so I would much prefer a 2-second delay between loading the game and clocks starting, like there is in v2 right now (anyone have any ideas why this wasn't moved into v3?).

Indeed. Noticed this in BCM against Pulpo, but forgot to mention because it was standard game.

This problem could potentially go away when V2 shuts down in a couple months. Then everyone might be equal again.
