Variant Idea: You Can See Your Opponent's Pieces But Not Yours

Sort:
AiryWigglyTown

In this variant, you can't see your own pieces, but you can see your opponent's pieces. The setup is the same as standard chess, and all the standard rules apply. But you just can't see your own pieces!

I mean this would just be semi-blindfold. Wouldn't have all the twists to it that Kriegspiel/Fog of War has. But still cool and I'd play it! Kinda a good way to train for blindfold.

you would obviously know where your pieces are at the start of the game, and then work off of that. maybe not -0.5
