Knightchess has more interesting gameplay than people say it does,

The gameplay isn't that interesting especially because the piece mobility is so high and the defensive capabilities of each piece are so good that it becomes very annoying to attack in general.

Yeah, i played knightchess but knights were nerfed to camels for some reason, and even when up in material it was very hard to attack. All pieces sharing the same movement type is just not good

Upgraded Chess can have interesting gameplay when done properly, but knightchess is just a cheap and unsuccesful try

Upgraded chess is with seargents right? That one is better than pawns (and knightriders instead of wildebeests).
