Arena only considers how many games a player had won. On the other hand, Tournament considers not only how many of the particular number of games a player had won but also who a player won against(the tie-breaker).
Like 3 check swiss and King of the hill tournament, it will be pretty nice if there are many other variant tournament.

By the way that I recently saw that arena tournaments for chess variants in www.chess.com variants server like Atomic Chess and Antichess (also known as Giveaway Chess, Losing Chess and Suicide Chess) have been added. These are less interesting and they are also available at www.lichess.org.
Will arena tournaments for more interesting fairy piece chess variants such as those like Trice's Chess (formerly known as Gothic Chess) and Courier Chess also be added up soon? If it is already implemented, then I did not see any of those chess variants in www.chess.com variants server arena tournaments. It is unlikely that I missed them out completely.
What do you think about Variant Tournament like these,
Although we need another rating system about this, but it will be pretty good isn't it
