I personally want to say that every time I look at the variants verdict feed with all its declined variants I heave a sigh of relief at all the bad positions that I won't have to see on the variants server.

CGAs, keep up the good work and #never-stop-declining.

well, in my defense, there are lots of good ideas, but they are just mudded by the amazing amounts of garbage

Reality:

what is better, Neo or Standard.

Personally Neo since chancellor and like some pieces look like actual chess pieces

I think neither is absolutely better. Standard pieces have intuitive designs that are great for newer players and those who don't want to memorize a whole new set of unique piece designs, but neo has some cool designs.

If I switched to standard, I'd be out of all top 20 rankings within a week. Some of those pieces are just awkward.

Standard all the way. Neo is weird
