the fatal rule with dead pieces greatly restricts the mobility of the queen(s) as they die when they capture

I have a question. What does Any Capture do, since it was mostly overpowered/completely useless? Also seems opening is forced like 1. Ni9 i9 2.FxWk3 to free the challencor

you can just move the wazir to i2, which allows your chancellor to escape. btw, any capture lets you destroy your own pieces in order to remove surrounding enemy pieces. it allows unique strategy. also, to cancel accidental premoves, just premove the king into one of the pieces. You can't destroy your own king so it cancels the premove when it's your turn

The Spy. I see it very tradey but people likes it, so I decided to give it a try. This is equal. What do you think on this(and Atlantis VI)?

Testers wanted: This isn’t my variant, I just ran across it in the lobby and really liked it. The combination of setup chess and fog of war, both variants I liked, seems to work well.

I’ve added knights as an option, but as with normal setup chess, I don’t see them as effective when bishops are an option.

does anyone has suggestions on how to revise this variant? without gop it would be pointless, but gop cause problems so maybe some kind of quirky hill will work?

the neat part: it won't work, unless you make a large change that is able to be named to be a brand new variant aside from the org one
