I was using chess.com on PC and solved lag issues by changing browsers.
Chess.com support helps people with performance issues. You could open a ticket.

The site can't do something differently with individual accounts.

There isn't a None anymore but the animation setting is under
Settings > Board & Pieces > Board Effects > Piece Animations
