"A really exciting finish to what, quite frankly, was a boring game." Completely agree. To have a successful attack on the king, you need to get as many of your pieces as possible coordinated in the effort. Queen, knight, rook, bishop, they were all there.
I saw the correct move (won't spoil it for those who haven't watched the video yet). However, I did not see all the effects of that move. It just seemed like that was the weak point in white's defense, and the position had a "it's now or never" feel to it.
Sometimes, I welcome an opponent's attack on my king, because if they don't have enough firepower -- they're going to hurt themselves more than they'll hurt me.
