Hello guys! When I prepare some openings and strategy for my students almost everyone tell me: "I need to attack!". Children love tactics, very fast attack and glorious victory. Yes, that is true. Almost everyone enojoy quick victory with some combinations like in Shirov's or Tal's games. Because of that many students think that when you attack you have to go forward. When I create some examples they always looking for such a moves, when they go forward - for example go from rank number 4 to rank number 6 when they play as white. Be careful. When you attack sometimes you have to prepare counterplay and go backward and then push. Have a look! We have much more examples linked to this idea. I prepare three and I hope you now understand, that sometimes if you want to go forward you have to first go back! I prepare some materials about improving positional skills. Frankly I just use the method from Mark Dvoretsky's books called positional pictures. Have a look. First of all we have to find an appropriate position from game. Secondly we have to start form the moment when someone plays very creative or use a new idea, which we do not really comprehend. Next we have to write a commentary and write the move order which was played in the game. Then we have to end the exercise. Finally if we gather many examples we could repeat everything before tournament. Too be honest, examples should be short. It is enoughif you find the right position with new or creative idea! I use only 3 methods in my training: I watch as many games of 2700+ as I could. I collect my postional pictures. I play as many blitz, rapid and classic games as I could. The method is slow but it is very powerful if you do it constantly and you want to achieve a goal in a long period of time. I start in 2012 when I have 2150 ELO. In 2017 I achieve FIDE Master title and in 2019 2400+ in rapid and blitz sections and 2370 in classical games. I combine all together just to repeat every exercise linked to positional pictures once again: EASY IMPROVE YOUR POSITIONAL SKILLS #1 EASY IMPROVE YOUR POSITIONAL SKILLS #2 EASY IMPROVE YOUR POSITIONAL SKILLS #3 EASY IMPROVE YOUR POSITIONAL SKILLS #4 EASY IMPROVE YOUR POSITIONAL SKILLS #5 EASY IMPROVE YOUR POSITIONAL SKILLS #6 EASY IMPROVE YOUR POSITIONAL SKILLS #7 EASY IMPROVE YOUR POSITIONAL SKILLS #8 EASY IMPROVE YOUR POSITIONAL SKILLS #9 EASY IMPROVE YOUR POSITIONAL SKILLS #10

I received this note when I first began the tournament and did not want to be seen as a scam or fraud or advertisement. Here is what his reply was: With that being said, www.4teamchess.com is a legitament tournament, however unique. It is done in full view of chess.com. Now, here are the 4 players who finished first in the one winner for every 100 participants and the amount they would have won each if it was fee-based with 11,692 participants. Come and be part of the largest,, most unique chess tournament ever devised. As many of you already know, I have been working on building a very large-scale chess tournament. The design is to allow novice, intermediate and advanced players to team up in competition with teams from all over the world. In a similar manner as the 'Players League' and using the APIs provided by chess.com we will randomly select 5,000 to 15,000 players a day. these players will be selected on the basis that they have played at least 8 matches in the previous 30 days. If you want to participate, then make sure you have the number of matches up to date every 30 days. As the tournament grows and the players wish to participate for cash, we will open the competition to those players who wish to and sign up on our website. Remember, you must have 8 matches in a 30 day period, with the oldest matches falling off as the 30 days progresses. There will be two events, with a possibility of more added as demand requires. The first two events are 'Winner takes all' and 'One winner for every 100 entries" Currently, the tournament is free, but when the players demand it, entry fees will be $6 USD. You must have a PayPal account so we can send you your winnings when you place in the money. We will pay out %80 of the fees paid in. Comments will be welcome. Visit the tournament site WWW.4teamchess.com to read the rules and FAQs. There is a button where you can join. COMMENTS are welcome at our club site, 4teamchess International here on chess.com

BUDAPEST GAMBIT TRAP * Use Budapest gambit trap for a quick win. This is a very sound gambit against d4. It’s the sharp gambit but if you treat this gambit carefully then you are safe. * Strong players use this gambit against beginners and club players for quick results. * Budapest gambit trap is one of the traps which d4 players should prepare, because if white gets into this trap then he needs to resign within 10 moves. * In give trap black's double bishop and a knight sacrifice forces Black's king in a mating net . Siegfried Nadel played a 14 move brilliant game which will surely blow your mind 🔥 . All pieces are hanging but his opponent did'nt dare to capture even a single of them ( cause all variations will lead to Checkmate ) Even Queen hunged for 4 moves and on 5th move it delivered checkmate . This game feature double knight sacrifice which probably you have never seen it before I was shocked by this idea . Checkout here : https://youtu.be/ONR9_bDoysE

Dear Chess Friends! It's very often when your opponent takes a certain important square under their control, but then forgets about this square considering that it belonging to them! However, an attack of such square is a common practice in chess games. You can attack this spot directly or prepare a tactical strike. Sometimes, you can even locate your piece there and it won’t be hanging. That’s why, it's quite important to not lose the concentration by the end of the game and pay attention to such squares. How to overtake the advantage and attack on the most secured spot? This is what I’m going to reveal on my next 69th webinar “Attack on the Most Secured Spot” And I’m glad to welcome you! Of course, everything will be illustrated by GMs’ games. The games played by top grandmasters I'm going to demonstrate at the webinar (and, of course, explain the ideas behind their moves): Konstantin Sakaev – Rinat Jumabayev Alexei Shirov – Daniel King Rashid Nezhmetdinov – Leonid Shamkovich Join the webinar, learn how to attack the most secured spots to weaken their pawn structure and take the advantage of it. I’m sure you will learn a lot and improve your chess performance! The webinar starts on Sunday (14th of February) at 9 a.m. (EST), 2 p.m. (GMT), 5 p.m. (Moscow time). This webinar is free. Please, register for the webinar with this link: https://tricksofchess.clickmeeting.com/webinar-69-attack-on-the-most-secured-spot/register Please, don’t forget to register in advance and reserve your spot in case of a high number of attendees. Dear Chess Friends! Usually, amateurs prefer to simplify the position and exchange pieces, while professional players enjoy complicated positions with hanging pieces and tons of potential tactical strikes. Why? Such positions provide both players with a lot of opportunities and a stronger player is likely to demonstrate his tactical and calculation skills and win because of it. I should also mention that much depends on the player’s style. If he is good in positional play, planning and understands the position well, he prefers a simple and closed position with almost no tactical ideas. What about you? What type of positions do you prefer? As for me, I like sharp and complicated positions where both players have to pay attention to several places of action on the different sides of the board. And this is where you may face “Overloading” (overworking) when a defensive piece is given an additional defensive assignment which it can’t complete without abandoning its original defensive assignment. I often take advantage of this tactical motif and am going to teach you! I’m glad to welcome you to the 65th webinar “How to Take Advantage of Overloading (Overworking) in Chess". I'll demonstrate the examples of overloading and explain how to recognize and take the advantage of it. And, of course, everything will be illustrated by GMs’ games. Come to the webinar, learn about overloading and find this tactical strike in your games! The webinar starts on Sunday (17th of January) at 9 a.m. (EST), 2 p.m. (GMT), 5 p.m. (Moscow time). This webinar is free. Please, register for the webinar with this link: https://tricksofchess.clickmeeting.com/overloading/register Please, don’t forget to register in advance and reserve your spot in case of a high number of attendees. See you at the webinar! FM Victor Neustroev
