The "Vote Chess Rules" shown below are the ones that I currently use in the Young Beauties club.  I am calling them "Draft" rules here because we should talk about them and perhaps make some changes to them for use in this club.  They have worked very well in the Young Beauties club, and I would say that they are the minimum required for league games.  Maybe less formality is okay for non-league games.

One additional rule I am thinking about for Young Beauties is to state that anyone who joins the game after move 20 is subject to removal from the team after the first violation of the rules (without any warning).  YB has a small VC team --- most of our games have 3 - 5 active players.  By the time Move 20 is reached, it is normal for only 3 votes to be cast per move.  It is not fair to the players who have participated for most of the game to have a newcomer join the game and violate the rules and perhaps ruin the game as a result.  With only 3 or 4 votes available, each vote counts significantly.  A single "uninformed" vote can be disastrous.  That is why I am thinking about instituting the "no warning" rule after move 20 at least for YB.

It might not be needed for Magnus Carlsen if we can develop ways to have lots of participation and many votes cast on each move throughout the game.  For a larger number of votes, it is not a problem if a couple of them are for very bad moves made without discussion.

                                         Draft Vote Chess Rules

1.  A vote can only be cast for a move that has been mentioned at least once in discussion.

2.  Any team member can propose a move for consideration by the team.

3.  If possible, a vote should only be cast after the Team Captain/Timekeeper has put up the "VOTE NOW" banner.

4.  It is permitted to cast a vote for a move other than the option(s) stated in the "VOTE NOW" banner post.  However, the voter should be prepared to explain the reason(s) for choosing a different move.

A reminder message will be sent to a team member after the first violation of these rules.  After the second violation, a team member will be subject to removal from the team.
