Hello Custom Variants Community!

Another month will soon be upon us! October is coming up soon, and I only just realized that I'm behind schedule on putting this post out... that being said, even though it's only been a month, we've grown over 1000 members, and that's quite an impressive amount!

At the time of writing this, we have around 12 variants under review; the CGA team and the NCV Testers have been hard at work analyzing and playing through the variants that y'all have been submitting, and we've made great progress in making sure we get the results out faster while still keeping the quality of the review!

All in all, it's been a great month! If you have any feedback, feel free to directly message one of us over at the CGA team and we'll be happy to help!

This month's format:

• Four arenas, starting in October at 5 PM PST on Fridays (12 AM UTC on Saturdays)
• Normal arenas will be 72 hours long, and special arenas for newly accepted variants will be 168 hours (1 week) long

What your vote counts for:

• Week 1 (October 4) will be a 72-hour arena of the winner of Poll #1
• Week 2 (October 11) will be a 72-hour arena of the winner of Poll #2
• Week 3 (October 18) will be a 72-hour arena of the winner of Poll #3
• Week 4 (October 25) is currently reserved as a 168-hour arena of a new variant accepted between now and the end of the polling phase. If no variant fills this criteria, the runner-up of Poll #1 will be selected for a 72-hour arena.

Changes to the voting process:

• We will be testing out a ranked voting system this month; this is in contrast to a plurality voting system (or variations on such a system) used in previous editions of the 2024 Golden Variant votes
• There will be 4 options per poll, with the scoring system being 3-2-1-0

What are the 12 variants under review?

You can search for them by typing the keyword "Under Review" into Variants World, some irrelevant results will come up due to how the search engine works but the ones with the blue bubbles are Under Review and they should all be there

Is it 3 is best 0 is worst, or 3 is worst 0 is best?

Obviously the more points the better, StrawPoll states the higher choice means better choice

if a variant gets accepted before the end of october, will the arena be replaced?
