You must seldom move a piece twice. The saced pawn goes for the development of the pieces on King side PRETTY quickly- Once you castle, u'll observe that U'll have more board control. The trick is utiliging it quickly, as the advantage is positional(Yes, I know that the pawn can be retrieved later, but YOU will have the weaker king's poition since you decided to O-O- black can always decide to castly queen side, and with careful play, it's quite possible without dire circumstances.)

Play some games with the scandinavian opening as black further sacing your Qbishop's pawn, u'll get it better.
