My own leaning at the moment is Woodseats, check it out.
WEBSITE OF THE MONTH

There is a nice Dutch been posted on Woodseats and a report on the YCA AGM( I've not seen another anywhere).

Well, I've been looking at websites and Woodseats definitely gets my vote. Their latest match report, mentions re-visiting an old vemue that has a snooker table. This reminded me of my return to chess.
Years ago when I returned from the big city I bumped into Martin Johnson (the world famous chess playing postman). Martin asked how my chess was doing, I told him I hadn't played for years, so Martin invited me to Odsal Top Chess Club's AGM.
I turned up,Martin didn't (I haven't seen him at a match since), I asked the barman about the chess team, he said "they play upstairs, but you can't go up there". He served me a drink and I settled down and waited for others to arrive.
I sat at the bottom of the steps, looked up to see 4 men struggling with a large piece of slate. When I went to the bar the barman said they had no bitter left, so I went onto Guiness(not long after they ran out of that too).
I sat waiting for others to arrive( not knowing anyone) all the time more parts of the snooker table were coming down, by the time the chess players arrived they were down to the legs, and I was drinking bottles.
The Chairman convened the meeting by saying they had to find a new venue, I cracked out laughing(bad first impression), I think they all thought me weird and some still do.
When I left the meeting the removal men were being rewarded with draught beer (an old Yorkshire custom).

Come across another gem!!

They won't get my vote this month( they ignored my result ).Still a good read.

What about our new club site? OK it's still developing but Keith (consider it done) is on it...

Have you seen sasca.co.uk? A specialist club representing Sheffield Schools Chess? The club has introduced a number of talents to Sheffield chess over the last 40 years, I was talking to one in York last time I played in the IM Brown! Please don't count this as a vote, I am a bit biased.
If you check out the LOCAL-Clubs, Yorkshire now extends to page 4(for me anyway).A lot of these have their own(or Association's) website link.
Those who wish to check out these sites are invited to vote on the best one each month.
