Same happened to me.  Said I "connection lost" but my computer showed a four bar perfect connection.  Lost on time but it makes no sense when local ISP shows you have a great Internet signal but Chess.com says "connection lost" and there's nothing you can do.  This happen to anyone else in a tournament?

This happened perhaps to everyone. Even in Nakamura's discord people are saying the game disconnected for them

ManonFire_Jer

https://www.twitch.tv/uschess is also having issues covering tournaments.

Oh well, I guess the games one "lost" on time are just forever lost and that's it. Just wondering.  Life goes on either way.  Thanks to all.

This has also happened to me quite a few times. And yeah it says that connection is lost and in my computer it showed a four bar perfect connection, and yeah there's nothing we can do.

Or, if this was an issue at apparently the same time for many players on chess.com, is there a way to have, say, the final two games in a live tournament reviewed if there was a connection issue that seemingly was not isolated to me? Just out of curiosity I ask. Also, for a five minute blitz tournament that was interrupted due to a "lost connection," how can I see what place I finished despite the glitch that seems to hurt several players across chess.com? Thank you ahead of time for your replies.  Good luck to each of you in your chess!

I think it depends on the tournament. Usually, the tournament ends. Or a round is lost. There are exceptions.

For instance, when the Washington State Elementary Championship went online this spring (on ChessKids), the site crashed several times during the first round. Those games were annulled, and the event began anew with a late start and some tweaks to avoid further crashes. In this case, ChessKids was hosting another organization's event and earning a considerable fee.

I appreciate everyone's kind assistance.  Good luck in your chess endeavors.

For events in this club, we have had that happen a couple of times where the outage was severe and those events were not rated.

So it kind and f depends.

For other affiliates, how they handle it may differ.

Depending on how your internet connection is set up, your computer connection (e.g. 4 bars) may actually just be showing your connection to your local wifi router or maybe the ISP itself. Other distant end issues in the internet may have been involved with the "last mile" link failing to the chess platform.
